Veterinary Deer Society Congress 2019 | Veterinary Deer Society
The Veterinary Deer Society is running a congress on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November 2019 at the Moredun Research Institute in Edinburgh. The conference is open to any who wish to attend, whether they are veterinarians wanting to increase their clinical knowledge of cervids, or non-veterinarians who are particularly interested in current research and scientific advances in the deer world. Whilst you do not have to be a member of the Veterinary Deer Society to attend, membership is encouraged and attendance to the Congress is discounted for those who are either associate or veterinary members.
Lectures include updates on tuberculosis in UK deer, red deer scanning and artificial breeding, and reindeer; discussing all aspects of health and welfare. There are also two discussion groups taking place, based around reindeer and tuberculosis, with experts in their fields chairing and participating in the discussions. The Veterinary Deer Society AGM will also occur during the event. For a full programme of speakers and topics, please see here.
